It’s been a minute since I’ve posted here. Honestly, I’ve felt a little worn out, not in a dramatic way, just life, travel, constant motion. But today’s Solid Joys hit home, and it felt like the right moment to come back and share again.
God’s Pleasure to Do You Good
Luke 12:32
“Fear not, little flock, for it is your Father’s good pleasure to give you the kingdom.”
This verse is such a gentle reminder: God actually enjoys being good to us. He doesn’t bless you reluctantly. He’s not doing it because He has to. It’s His pleasure to give you the kingdom. His joy. That’s who He is at His core.
On the road, it’s easy to let that voice of doubt creep in, that maybe God’s just tolerating you, like He’s annoyed and keeping you around out of obligation. But that’s not how Jesus talks about the Father. Jesus says, “Fear not.” And He’s not talking to a crowd of perfect people. He’s talking to a “little flock” people who probably felt small, unsure, and maybe even like they were hanging on by a thread.
This is for us too.
If you’ve been doubting God’s kindness or just feeling like you’re not worth the effort, this verse is for you. And if you want to start making these short podcasts part of your daily rhythm again, I’ll be right here with you.
My Prayer:
Father, thank You that it brings You joy to be kind to us. Help me believe that deep down, not just in my head, but in my heart. When I doubt, remind me of who You really are. When I feel small, remind me I’m part of Your flock. Thank You for loving us not out of duty, but out of delight. Amen.
