Today’s SJDD Podcast - how to Plead for Unbelievers
Romans 10:1
“Brothers, my heart’s desire and prayer to God for them is that they may be saved.”
Today’s 4-minute podcast is a powerful reminder that our prayers for others matter especially when it comes to those who don’t yet believe. Paul didn’t just hope his people would be saved. He pleaded with God for it. He believed that God could actually change hearts, and he prayed like that was true.
Sometimes when you’re on the road, it’s easy to feel distant from people back home or disconnected from what’s going on spiritually in someone’s life. But this is an invitation to carry people in prayer wherever you are backstage, on a bus, in a green room, during a walk before doors open. It doesn’t take much. It starts with being willing to ask God to move in someone’s heart.
Practical takeaway for me:
Pick one person today who doesn’t yet know Jesus and start praying specifically for them. Ask God to open their heart, soften what’s hard, and bring them to life in Him. If you’re not sure what to say, use scripture. Plead for God to do what only He can do.
I’m trying to do this each day, and I’d love for you to join me.
Prayer:
God, thank You for hearing our prayers, not just for ourselves, but for others. Today I lift up the people in my life who don’t yet know You. Soften their hearts. Open their eyes. Call them to Yourself in a way only You can. Give me a heart like Paul’s, one that truly cares and is bold enough to keep asking. And when I don’t know what to say, teach me how to pray with faith and with Your Word. Amen.
