Glueing Together My Mix
I have heard so many of you talk about “glueing together your mix” I feel like I have a decent “live mix” but I want to really “glue it together”. What are some practical step I can be taking to really “glue it together”

Sully gave my answer! It’s like the recording studio trick of leaving the room with the door ajar and seeing what you hear most prominently and work on that.
I use a lot of side chaining on small areas of tracks and synths to allow vocals to come through without being too loud. Things like that and some very gentle master bus compression can be a great start. If you think it needs glue? Try it. If you don’t think it needs it? You’re doing just fine.
