How do you make scenes
For my people who rock scenes can you talk about your process in making scenes, do you do scenes for songs? Scenes for parts of songs? Are you triggering them or are you running time code? What’s your process for building them, what things are you automating. All that jazz.

Scenes or snapshots are a great tool for me to automate all the things that happen consistently during the show. I use them, at the very least, to change effects and tempo, but also muting unused inputs for a particular song, and adjusting fader levels as needed. I start by building one mix, then as the band plays each song, saving new scenes as I go with tempo and whatever fx changes I’ve made. I typically will have one scene per song, unless there’s a talking spot in the song, or a guest that comes out. I also have scenes for talking between songs. I fire them manually, for now, however I am working towards getting some of them firing from time code. As far as what I am automating, it’s pretty much all inputs except my 3 primary vocals, and effects (including waves and outboard).
